Business Need:

This project aims to process replace existing Image services workflow application with advanced imaging capturing solution. New should be able to process mutual fund applications by using advanced capturing techniques. Solution should allow distributed scanning and centralized indexing and those scanning locations are spread across three locations with multiple branches. I.e. India, Canada, USA.

The objectives were to:
  • Datacap integration with FileNet P8.
  • Application should allow users to scan mutual fund applications using scanner.
  • Segregation of Mutual Fund Applications with barcode separators.
  • Allow user to index and rescan specific documents.
  • Provide feasibility to documents of same user as a package.
  • High Availability configuration (HA) between Taskmaster servers
  • Load balancing between Task master web servers.
  • Reports for reconsolidation activities & audit.
  • New Enhancement Utility (NENU) for purging DB records, loggers and resetting some batches status.
  • Migration of documents from DIAL to P8.
Our Solution:

We proposed a Datacap solution in 8.1 with limited customization to achieve above customer expectations. Built new Datacap Platform in FTT for on boarding any new business process / applications in future. Defined workflow for allowing applications from Fax & Scanner. Configured solution with High Availability (ACTIVE – ACTIVE) configuration. Added network load balancer between IIS servers to reduce load on Web application. Thick client solution provided for the purpose of migrating DIAL documents to P8.
